San Juan North, Naparima begin Intercol campaign

SAN Juan North Secondary and Naparima College, two teams that were contenders for the premiership division Secondary Schools Football League title, will begin their aim for the Coca Cola Intercol title on Thursday.

San Juan and Naparima both had byes in the preliminary round of the Intercol earlier this week.

San Juan, third place finishers in the league competition, will play El Dorado West Secondary in the East zone quarter-finals at the San Juan North school ground at 3.30 pm. El Dorado West defeated Five Rivers Secondary on Monday on penalties to advance to the zonal quarter-finals.

Naparima, fifth place in the league, will face Ste Madeleine Secondary in the South zone quarter-finals at Naparima's home ground at Lewis Street, San Fernando at 3.30 pm.

Matches will also be contested in the Central and Tobago zones on Thursday. On Friday, South, Tobago and North zone matches will be played.
