Debutant Alick Athanaze hits 47 but India topple Windies
ALICK Athanaze showed fight with a top score of 47 on debut, but it was the only highlight for West Indies in what was a dismal start to the two-match Test series against India at Windsor Park in Roseau, Dominica on Wednesday.
Athanaze, who is Dominican, gave West Indies some hope but the regional team could only post 150 all out in their first innings. Left-handed Athanaze, a former West Indies Under-19 player, faced 99 balls and struck six fours and one six.

It was a struggle for all the batsmen as the highest score after Athanaze was Kraigg Brathwaite’s 20.

Day two will bowl off at 10 am on Thursday.
