Eva Mitchell is new Stock Exchange CEO

THE Trinidad and TobagoStock Exchange has got a new CEO in the person of Eva Mitchell, a release from the stock exchange stated on Monday.

Mitchell's appointment became effective on April 1. She replaced former CEO Amoy Van Lowe, who had tendered her resignation, which was accepted by the board of the exchange.

Mitchell has also been appointed CEO of the TT Central Depository Ltd (TTCD), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the stock exchange.

She joined the exchange in 2016 as manager of market operations, with the responsibility of overseeing the daily market operations of the exchange and in October 2020, became acting CEO of both organisations.

The release said Mitchell's experience spans over 19 years across the financial services sector, including experience at leading multinational financial services organisations.

She has held various management positions and has extensive knowledge and experience in the areas of finance, asset management, retail and commercial banking and brokerage services.

She holds a BSc in business management from the University of New Brunswick and an MSc in international finance from the Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business.
