May 13 declared Eid-ul-Fitr

The Office of the Prime Minister has declared May 13 as Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a brief statement on Friday it said, “According to section 3(1) of the Public Holidays and Festivals Act, Chapter 19:05, May 13 has been declared as the date of the public holiday in celebration of the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.”
Eid-ul-Fitr occurs after the sighting of the new crescent moon, which signals the end of the month of Ramadan.
