[UPDATE] Champs Fleurs man dies hours after shooting
Hours after he was shot at his home, a 33-year-old Champs Fleurs man died from gunshot wounds while being treated at hospital.
Police said Anthony "Bamp" Raymond was declared dead at around 10.40 am at the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex.
Raymond was at his Esmeralda Drive, Mt D’Or Road, home at around 1.10 am on Monday when a group of men broke down his front door and ran to his bedroom shooting him several times before running away.
A relative who was in the house with Raymond at the time drove him to the hospital where he received emergency surgery until he died.
Raymond was shot once in the lower midsection, elbow and knee and twice in the chest.
Homicide investigators are continuing enquiries.

A 33-year-old man is in critical condition after a home invasion at his Champs Fleurs home early on Monday morning.
Police said Anthony Raymond, aka "Bamp," was at home at Esmeralda Drive, Mt D'Or Road, with a relative at around 1.10 am when they heard banging at their front door.
Intruders broke down the doorm ran to Raymond's bedroom and shot him several times before running away.
The relative took Raymond to the Mt Hope Hospital, where he had emergency surgery. The men shot Raymond twice in the chest and also shot him in the back, midsection, knee and elbow.
He is expected to have further surgery on Monday.
Investigators from the St Joseph CID and Northern Division CSI went to the house. Police are continuing enquiries.
