Augustine: 'PDP will win THA election'

Progressive Democratic Patriots (PDP) deputy leader Farley Augustine says he is confident the party will win the January 25 Tobago House of Assembly election.

“That is a given, because God is leading this team. So our chances are excellent,” he told reporters after filing his nomination papers at the John Dial Multipurpose Facility.

Augustine was also asked to comment on the decision of Tobago Festivals Commission chairman Dr Denise Tsoiafatt Angus to contest the Scarborough/Calder Hall seat as an independent candidate.

“This is a democracy and any and everyone is welcome to participate, and on a day like today, any citizen of Tobago can go and be duly nominated,” he said.
