Molino nets twice as Minnesota defeat Colorado

TT midfielder Kevin Molino scored twice as Minnesota United defeated Colorado Rapids 3-0 on Sunday night, in a Major League Soccer (MLS) playoffs Western Conference first-round battle, in St Paul, Minnesota.

Minnesota will play top seed Sporting Kansas City in the Western Conference semifinal, on December 1 or 2, at Kansas City.

The 30-year-old Molino broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute. From a throw-in, he found Emanuel Reynoso who made his way to the penalty box before feeding Molino, who finished with a left-footed shot.

Robin Lod widened the lead in the 54th, before Molino finished the scoring in the 79th.

The result extended Minnesota United's unbeaten run to nine matches.
