US Ambassador Joseph Mondello has agreed to partner with the Ministry of Social Development to develop social development and family services in TT.

Social Development Minister Donna Cox met with Mondello on Wednesday to exchange ideas at the US Embassy in Port of Spain.

A statement from the ministry on Wednesday said they agreed there were “tremendous opportunities for training” in several areas of social development and family services.

Some of the areas discussed were programmes for the elderly, first-responder systems, best practices in developing healthy families and strategies in transitioning from welfare to self-reliance and sustainability.
