Central Division Task Force police detained a man after they reportedly found a loaded shotgun in a knapsack on the front seat of his car he was driving.
Police said on Wednesday said PCs Kumar, Beharry, and Sammy stopped a blue Mitsubishi Lancer while on patrol in the Carlsen Field area. The driver, Amit Mohammed, was "acting suspiciously" when he saw the officers.
Officers said they seized a black sawed-off shotgun and two rounds of 12-gauge ammunition.
Mohammed was detained and later charged him with having an illegal gun and ammunition.
