Two held in Cunupia with guns, ammunition

Central Division police arrested two men early on Wednesday for having high-powered rifles and assorted rounds of ammunition.

A release from the police said acting on intelligence gathered, members of the Central Division Anti-Gang Unit searched an apartment at Lutchman Gardens in Cunupia at 5.10 am.

They found and seized a Smith and Wesson M & P AR-15 automatic rifle, an AR-15 upper receiver, an AR-15 stock, three AR-15 magazines, three Glock magazines, one .380 magazine, an assortment of gun components as well as ammunition and cash.

Investigations continue.
