Man shot in leg at Penal

A man has been wounded after a shooting at Penal on Sunday afternoon. Police had not yet identified the victim but said he was hit in one of his legs.

A report said shortly before 5 pm, residents of Lowkie Trace heard gunshots then found the injured man. He was expected to be taken to the Siparia District Health Facility.

Penal police are investigating.
