MoH working on protocols with bars, casinos, cinemas

CMO Dr Roshan Parasram said he has received submissions from the bar association, casinos and cinemas via the Chamber of Commerce on protocols and policies for reopening.

He said the health ministry will be working hand in hand with various committees to ensure those sectors are well prepared when that reopening phase is reached.

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh said his ministry continues to reach out to bars, casinos and cinemas for their protocols, as well as most places of worship. He said he will continue to do so over the course of this week.

While the World Health Organisation has guidelines governing the reopening of places where congregation will take place, he said, these will be localised in consultation with local bodies.
