Man arrested for stealing phone

A 27-year-old Aranguez man is in police custody after he stole a woman's cell phone while she was shopping in December.

Police said a team of officers from the Port of Spain City Police visited the man's home at Freddy Street, Aranguez, at around 11 am today, where they executed an arrest warrant for the man and found the Samsung S7 cellphone.

They said the woman was at the Port of Spain Market on December 23 and put her phone down on the counter when the man stole it.
