Kidnappers still want $2m for Sheldon

Kidnappers called relatives of Sheldon Sukhdeo last week and again demanded a $2 million ransom for his return.

However, when relatives asked to speak with him the kidnappers did not comply, prompting relatives to end the call.

Police said since the father of two was kidnapped, the kidnappers had called six times demanding the ransom. On only one occasion was Sukhdeo allowed to speak with his mother Angela and brother Ceron. His family have told police that no ransom will be paid unless they get to speak with him again.

Sources said investigators have received key information, including a video, showing Sukhdeo is still alive.Yesterday marked 29 days since he was snatched.

On December 16 Sheldon, 32, was driving his BMW along the Solomon Hochoy highway near Gasparillo around 4.10 am when he was bundled into an SUV with flashing blue lights. Two Venezuelan women and a Venezuelan man who were with him have since given statements to the police.

Investigators have searched several houses in the Central district for him.
