Prisoner found with ganja and cigarettes

Prison officers at the Maximum Security Prison, Arouca, found a 32-year-old prisoner was found with ganja and hand-rolled cigarettes, hidden near his groin on Wednesday afternoon.

Police reports reveal that around 6.30 pm prison officer Williams and another officer noticed an unusual bulge in the prisoner's pants. They searched him and found the contraband.

The prisoner is awaiting trial for shooting with intent.
