Watchman found dead

A 60-YEAR-OLD watchman was found dead in his makeshift home on Saturday morning after neighbours reported to police that they were getting a stench emanating from his home.

According to police Arthur James of St James Terrace, St James was last seen alive on July 4 by residents. Around 9 am his neighbours called the St James Police Station and when officers responded they found the partially decomposed body of James and notified the Homicide Bureau.

James, a watchman with Don Ramdeen Transport, lived alone in a shack behind the St James Youth Centre. Officers of both the St James Police Station and the Homicide Bureau are continuing investigations with a post mortem set for today expected to shed more light on the cause of his death.
