20-year-old charged for Duncan murder

A 20-year-old Mt St George man appeared before Magistrate Brian Debideen on Tuesday charged with the murder of construction worker, 27-year-old Shonneil ‘Pussa’ Duncan.

Nickosce Davis appeared just around 12:30 pm, dressed in a button-up t-shirt and three-quarter pants in the Scarborough Magistrate’s Second Court to answer to the charge that he murdered Duncan on May 5 at Back Street in Mt St George.

Davis, who was represented by attorney Hazel-Ann Roberts, was not called on to enter a plea, since the charge was laid indictably.

Debideen enquired from the prosecution about the disclosure of the evidence being relied on by the police in the matter, to which Court prosecutor Sgt Dillon replied that a police file was still being compiled and would be forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions shortly.

The case was adjourned to June 13. Davis was charged by Cpl Burt Guy of the Tobago Homicide Bureau.
