Man burned, treated at hospital
A man said to be in his fifties is now being treated at hospital after being burned in an explosion at his home in Dinsley, Trincity yesterday. Police said that at about 2 pm Clyde Henry was cutting a drum at his home on Harris Street, Dinsley Junction, which contained a flammable liquid.
Sparks from the drum ignited the liquid, and the result was an explosion which was said to have rocked the neighbourhood. Fire, police and emergency health services responded. Henry was taken to hospital and has been warded.
