Man’s body found in Valsayn

At about 4.30 pm yesterday, hunters walking in a heavily forested part of Valsayn, detected a foul smell, and upon checking, they found the decomposing body of a man. They called the police, and members of the St Joseph CID went to the scene.

Police said the body, up until this morning, is still unidentified, but based on the tattered clothing, they believe he may have been a homeless man in the area.

They say an autopsy should be done today at the Forensic Science Centre in St James, but foul play is not suspected in the man’s death.
