Chaguanas man to face court for robbing doctor’s office

A 25-year-old man is scheduled to appear virtually before a Chaguanas magistrate on Friday charged with two counts of robbery with aggravation.

Police charged Ashton Ramsoogoon, who lives at Caparo Street, Montrose, on Thursday.

A release from the police said the robbery occurred last week Tuesday at a doctor’s office at Montrose.

Reports are an armed man entered the office at about 3.15 pm and announced a robbery. He robbed two people of cell phones and cash, which included the office's earnings for the day.

The man then ran off.

Police from Chaguanas Criminal CID and CID in the Penal district investigated.

On Monday, police arrested a man selling at a parlour at Penal Rock Road.

They later placed him on several ID parades and the victims of the robbery identified him.
