Pensioner dies from fall off calabash tree
An 82-yearold man is dead after falling from a tree at his home in Patience Hill on Wednesday. According to police reports, around 9:15 am, Arnold Sylvester-George was attempting to climb a calabash tree at his Sunset Crescent, Patience Hill home that was in his yard when he fell to the ground.
His wife, Angela Brebnor-George, 65, was with her husband at the time, and she contacted the police and ambulance services. Newsday was told Emergency Health Services’ officials could not find a pulse on the body and contacted the District Medical Officer, Dr Kale Ferguson, who pronounced George dead on the scene. His body was removed to the Scarborough General Hospital Mortuary. A post mortem is expected to be conducted soon.
