TTCB Premiership I heats up as champs Central Sports meet QPCC

LEAGUE leaders and defending TT Cricket Board (TTCB) Premiership I champions Central Sports will try to extend their winning streak in the 2025 season to four games when they meet fellow powerhouse team Queen's Park Cricket Club (QPCC) at Invaders Recreation Ground in Felicity when round four is played from February 22-23.
Central Sports are coming off a massive innings and 117 run-win over Preysal Sports which took them to 75 points. Aggressive opener Kamil Pooran slammed 184 not out in Central's lone innings, with allrounder Mikkel Govia grabbing seven wickets in the match.
With a QPCC team with players such as Darren Bravo, Terrance Hinds and mystery spinner Sunil Narine in their ranks, Central will look to show they're still the team to beat and strengthen their title credentials.
QPCC are currently fourth with 46 points.
PowerGen Sports Club (55 points) got a massive innings win of their own in their last match against the cellar-placed Prisons, and they will be after maximum points again when they face the sixth-placed Yorkshire (32 points) at Syne Village, Penal. PowerGen are currently third on the ten-team table and will hope the opening pair of Videsh Sookhai and Daniel Williams can replicate their century-making feats from the previous round.
At Marchin Grounds in Charlieville, hosts Bess Motors Marchin Patriots, who are level with PowerGen on 55 points, will play Prisons as they look to press on from their comfortable eight-wicket win over Victoria in the previous round.
At Wilson Road Recreation Ground in Penal, the fifth-placed Clarke Road United (42 points) and the seventh-placed Merry Boys (27 points) will both be after more fruitful results after drawing their round-three matches.
Meanwhile, in Barrackpore, a pair of struggling teams will square off when the ninth-placed Victoria face the eighth-placed Preysal. Both teams were defeated in round three.
All games will bowl off at 10 am.
