Two die, one wounded in Arima shooting

Two men are dead and one womans wounded after a masked man shot them while they were sitting in the porch of their Arima home.

The dead men have been identified as 45-year-old Mark Seignoret and Akil Pierre, both of Sherwood Park, Arima.

Details were sketchy up to press time, but police said that at about 12.40 pm on February 13, the three were sitting in the porch of the house located at the corner of Edward and Hall streets in Arima, when a masked gunman approached and opened fire.

The two men were shot several times while bullets grazed the woman on her right shoulder and right calf. The men were taken to the Arima Health Facility where they were pronounced dead on arrival by doctors. The woman was also treated for her injuries and discharged. Investigations are ongoing.
