Police investigating death of teen found dead in Brazil
AUTHORITIES are investigating the death of 16-year-old Raoul D'Andrade from Brazil, who was found hanging in his bedroom on November 13.
Newsday understands police are currently treating the case as a death by suicide, but investigations are ongoing.
Reports say D'Andrade's parents left home earlier in the day and returned around 6 pm. D'Andrade's father checked on him around 7 pm and found him unresponsive in the room.
The teen's father attempted CPR and later reported there were no signs of life when he called emergency services.
Crime-scene investigators, led by PC Mahabir and WPC De Graff of the La Horquetta Police, took photos of the room and district medical officer Dr Reisa Rahaman pronounced the teen dead.
The body was then removed by Reesal Funeral Agency.
Cpl Griffith is continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the death.
