Panorama 2025 launches on November 17
Pan Trinbago, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and the Arts will launch National Panorama 2025, under the theme Steelpan Fuh So! Unleash D' Power! on November 17.
The event takes place at the Phase II Pan Groove panyard, 15 Hamilton Street, Woodbrook at 5.30 pm.
This is the first Panorama where the steelpan holds the prestige of being officially proclaimed as the national musical instrument of Trinidad and Tobago, said a media release.
Pan Trinbago, in the release said, "The launch promises an evening filled with electrifying performances and an unparalleled celebration of this national treasure. Following an exceptional 2024 season – marked by the steelpan's formal recognition and its designation as a symbol of geographical significance – the instrument's stature and global acclaim have soared."
Panorama 2025 is set to build on this momentum, amplifying the celebration and spotlighting the power, passion, and rhythmic elegance that define this cultural icon, which has garnered numerous accolades, the release said.
There will be live steelband performances by the 2024 Panorama reigning champions bp Renegades and Massy Trinidad All Stars. Also performing are Phase II Pan Groove, San Juan East Side Symphony, Chord Masters, T&TEC New East Side Dimension and Katzenjammers with special guest appearances by Mical Teja and Farmer Nappy,
