THE 33rd annual CariFin awards were held at the Central Bank conference facilities on August 29, with the Scotiabank team proudly taking home the overall team trophy, as well as numerous awards for their individual athletes.

The games, held each year by the Caribbean financial institution seeks to connect financial organisations across the region through fun, fitness and friendship while promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Dianne Denny of Scotiabank, the best female runner during the CariFin Games. -

Shay Gonzales, the first-place winner of the prestigious best of four events in the male run category, showed his appreciation for the games as he reflected on his win. He said, "...The CariFin Games has unleashed the healthy mind, healthy body aspect in the life of someone working in a financial institution, which I deeply appreciate...I'm grateful for this amazing experience and looking forward to next year's games."
