Young women from all walks of life took centre stage at First Citizens Girls First Festival 2024 to explore entrepreneurship.

The event, themed Dream, Dare, Do, focused on nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit and skills of the budding businesswomen.

The two-part festival was held on July 28 at the Bishop Anstey East, Trincity and on August 4 at the Magdalena Grand Beach and Golf Resort.

In a release, First Citizens said the event featured motivational lectures by guest speakers, workshops and breakout sessions, giving participants hands-on experience in business planning, digital marketing strategies and financial management.

"Participants had the opportunity to engage in practical exercises, receive personalised feedback, and develop actionable plans tailored to their entrepreneurial goals," the release said.

The festival also included a marketing and exhibition area where young entrepreneurs were encouraged to showcase their products and services.

"This marketplace not only highlighted the creativity and innovation of these budding businesswomen but also offered a platform for them to network and gain exposure," the release added.

At the end of the festival, young entrepreneurs were equipped with a supportive community that encourages collaboration and ongoing mentorship.

"The Girls First Festival 2024 is not just an event; it was a catalyst for change, igniting a movement of fearless female entrepreneurs ready to make their mark on the world," First Citizens said.
