Keith Scotland now minister in the Ministry of National Security

MP for Port of Spain South Keith Scotland has been named a minister in the Ministry of National Security.

At a post-Cabinet media briefing on July 25, the Prime Minister, said Scotland will be responsible for police matters. Dr Rowley said Scotland will work with the minister specifically with police issues.

Fitzgerald Hinds will remain the Minister of National Security, despite calls for him to step down.

Trinidad and Tobago's murder toll for the year so far stands at 336.

In June Scotland was awarded senior counsel or “silk” status.
