Indian Walk man shot, wounded at home

PRINCES Town police are searching for two men in connection with the attempted murder of a man from Indian Walk in Moruga on the afternoon of July 16.

Up to July 17, the victim was at the San Fernando General Hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest, right arm and right shoulder.

The police said around 2.28 pm on July 16, he was asleep at home and was awakened by a knock on the front door. He saw two men standing outside. The men continued knocking, and when the occupant did not respond, one started shooting with a sawn-off shotgun, hitting him. The men then ran off.

EHS personnel and the Southern Division police were alerted. The victim was taken to the Princes Town District Health Facility, then transferred to the hospital. Investigations are ongoing.
