Adrenaline City shows Colours of Dream for Carnival 2024
Adrenaline City Carnival launched its 2024 mas presentation Colours of Dream, at Stages on the Avenue, Woodbrook on July 29.
Bandleader Shane Philip said, "Our ultimate goal is to make sure that we are one of the most sought-after bands in terms of service."
The band presented five sections – Sparks of Fire by Naila Narinesingh, Heavenly Fantasy by Shamilla Samaroo, Water Lily by Zoe Hernandez and Allan Sookram, Meraki by Annissa Gibbs, and Paradise by Philip.
Narinesingh, Samaroo and Gibbs are all first-timers with the band, however, for Narinesingh and Samaroo its their first time designing for any band while Gibbs designed once for another Carnival band.
Philip said, "The theme, Colours of Dream, came about because I wanted to give everybody an opportunity to express themselves. Express themselves in whatever way they want to identify. After we come up with names, we sit and come up with the colours, so that you don't have the same colours mixed with other people's creations. We really want our masqueraders to experience the safety of being in a family-oriented band when they play with us. You will be treated like family, especially when the food and drinks are all-inclusive"
Revellers have the option of playing on Carnival Monday or Tuesday or on both days.
Philip said the Adrenaline City Carnival committee would be hosting at least three other events before masqueraders revel on the road for Carnival 2024.
