The National Entrepreneurship Development Co (NEDCO) wrapped up its three-day entrepreneurship conference and marketplace by announcing its new youth-focused projects.

In keeping with NEDCO's 21st anniversary and the need to encourage young people into starting their own business, its CEO Calvin Maurice said a youth entrepreneurship hub will be created, among other projects.

This hub will be a place for ideas to collide and is meant to be a melting pot of creativity, collaboration and growth in a supportive ecosystem for young entrepreneurs, he said.

A youth business incubator –another space for ideas to grow and flourish, but with the help of mentorship, training and networking opportunities – will be launched by NEDCO as well.

Maurice said, "NEDCO is also bringing to life the Youth Business Industrial Parks which is a playground for young entrepreneurs to explore cutting-edge technologies, experiment with new business models and tap into emerging markets. These parks will be buzzing with excitement and brimming with opportunities for our ambitious youth."
