Vemco wins Supermarket Association manufacturer award

Vemco Ltd was named the Premier Manufacturer of the Year at the Supermarket Association of Trinidad and Tobago’s (SATT) 27th Annual Awards, held recently.

On receiving the award Chris Alcazar, Vemco’s CEO, in a statement, said, “We are very grateful for this recognition from our partners, who make up the membership of SATT and the executive of their association. They make it possible for us to get our brands to the dinner table.”

Alcazar also praised his team.

“This award is an acknowledgement of the Vemco team – all 700 of them, who live our SERVE values every single day, so we can deliver life-enriching experiences. From the factory floor through operations, our distribution warehouse, our delivery drivers, our sales teams, marketing and then most importantly the people you may see every day, our merchandisers in the supermarkets, working tirelessly to bring our brands to the people of Trinidad and Tobago.”

He added: “This is a time in our country for nation building. It is a time for us to be proud of who we are and of what we produce, and at Vemco, we simply are proudly T&T.”

Vemco is a member of the Agostini Group of Companies, and was adjudged company of the year 2021, for group companies with annual sales over $350 million.
