Three men held under Anti-Gang Act

The Northern Division Gang Unit has arrested and charged three men under the Anti-Gang Act.

On Tuesday, 27-year-old Keston Hall and 26-year-old Suresh Maharaj of Balandra, and Daineam Schnedier, 30, from Cedros were charged with supporting a gang and marijuana trafficking.

The men were first held on September 12, 2019, when their vehicle was stopped and searched during a police exercise in Arouca. Marijuana weighing 16.1 kilogrammes was allegedly found and the men appeared before an Arima magistrate.

They were arrested again on suspicion of being involved in gang-related activities.

The exercise was carried out by Cpl Stevenson and the Northern Division Gang Unit. Investigations are continuing.
