CMO: Victoria county highest for covid19 cases

CHIEF Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Roshan Parasram said Victoria county has the highest number of active covid19 cases.

He was speaking Wednesday at the covid19 media briefing.
Parasram reported of all the counties, Victoria has the highest number of patients in home isolation, with 295 cases or 25.5 per cent of all cases. The breakdown for the other counties was as follows:

* Caroni - 15.2 per cent
* St George Central - 13.6 per cent
* St George East - 12.7 per cent
* St George West - 11.9 per cent
* St Andrew/St David - 10.9 per cent
* Nariva/Mayaro - 2.9 per cent
* St Patrick - 6.5 per cent
* Tobago - 0.8 per cent

The major towns in Victoria county are San Fernando, Princes Town, Debe and Moruga though the CMO did not specify any areas. Last month Parasram reported the county had the highest number of active cases that are currently under home isolation and quarantine.
