Arima man arrested for robbery

as Lomas police arrested a 42-year-old Arima man for a robbery on Saturday.

Police said the victim was seated in his car on Madras Road, St Helena, when he was approached by two men armed with guns.

The suspects took two cellphones and a quantity of cash before escaping into a nearby bushy area.

A report was made and a search was carried out in the area, leading to one of the suspects being arrested. He was also identified by the victim.

Investigations are ongoing.
