Tobago man robbed in St James
A 31-year-old Tobago man who opted to spend the early hours of New Year’s Day smoking a cigarette was cuffed to the face and robbed of a gold chain valued $12,000 and a gold band valued $10,000.
Around 1 am on Tuesday, Sheraz Hosein of Spring Gardens, Tobago, was reportedly standing next to a vehicle on Brunton Road, St James, when a man with a gun accosted him.
The man demanded the gold chain and gold band Hosein was wearing but he resisted and they fought.
The gunman escaped with the jewellery and Hosein made a report to the St James police.
Investigations are continuing.
