Speak positive on TT

THE EDITOR: We need to stop speaking negatives things.

A few months ago, I heard a television personality say they were sure the murder rate in TT would be 500. That was not the first time I heard people in this country speak those kind of negative things.

We need to be careful of what comes out from our mouths. It seems that some people get happy when they say negative things. Well words have power. The Bible says that death and life is in the power of the tongue and those who love it will eat the fruit (Proverbs 18:-21). You speak negative you will get negative. It is easier to say positive words.

For 2019 let us change our words and speak positive things into the atmosphere. And hope that we will not have so much murders like in 2018 and declare that it will be less. I am not saying that we will not have murders. I cannot predict that. I wish that we would have none at all. But if we continue saying positive things over the country, who knows what will happen. Lots of things will change. We have got to change our ways of thinking.
