Cops search for PH driver after robbery at Lady Chancellor Hill
Port of Spain CID detectives are searching for a woman, posing as a PH driver, who abducted three female victims on Tuesday night, took them to Lady Chancellor Hill and robbed them of cash and cell phones.
The driver was assisted by a man posing as a passenger. Police have secured CCTV footage which they believe could be useful in identifying the woman and her accomplice.
According to reports, around 8.20 pm, the three victims Susan Garcia, Amanda Mootoo and Roxanne Melville boarded a white station wagon at Charlotte Street, Port of Spain, and asked to be taken to different locations in Maraval. The three women sat in the back seat of the vehicle while a man sat in the front passenger seat.
On reaching close to Queen’s Park Savannah the driver went off route and drove towards the Lady Chancellor Hill.
When the passengers began asking the driver why she went off route the man in the front passenger seat pointed a knife at the victims. They were ordered to hand over cash, cell phones and other valuables.
