Man held for fatal hit and run

A MAN is being questioned in connection with Saturday’s fatal hit and run accident that claimed the life of Donielle Nelson, 17, of Harmony Hall. Old Grange police received a call around 7pm of a hit and run along Government House Road, Scarborough. Nelson was seen bleeding profusely along the side-walk. She was taken to hospital after receiving medical assistance by ambulance services on the scene but died at the Scarborough General Hospital.

Acting on information, police arrested a suspect who was driving in Mason Hall. Police are awaiting the result of the autopsy before proceeding with their investigation.

According to a close friend of Nelson’s family, Donielle’s mother is finding it extremely difficult to cope with the sudden death of her daughter.
