Car crashes into boardwalk

THREE men are receiving treatment at the Port of Spain General Hospital, after their car crashed at the Chauaramas boardwalk and ended up in the waters of Williams Bay.

According to reports, at about 3.45 am yesterday, three men were driving a silver Hyundai Elantra east along the Western Main Road.

As they got close to the boardwalk, the driver lost control and the car careened through the barriers at the side of the road and into the sea. Police and emergency services were called and the men were taken to hospital, while equipment was brought to pull the car out of the bay.

The men are said to be in stable but serious condition.
