Teen held with gun, ammo in Pleasantville

A teenager was arrested and a pistol and a quantity of ammunition seized by police from the Mon Repos station last Friday.

The exercise was carried out between 10 pm and 4 pm in Pleasantville, and included members of the Southern Division Task Force and Rapid Response Unit.

Acting on information received, the police went to Apartment 2, Building D, Orchid Gardens, where they found a Beretta pistol along with 12 rounds of 9mm ammunition.

The 18-year-old, who was in the apartment at the time, was arrested.
