Timely words of advice
THE EDITOR: There is never a dull moment in TT’s politics. The UNC’s internal election is ample proof of this.
One thing the present leader learned from her “maha guru” is never to have a deputy.
At present it is a case of the blind leading the blind or in the land of the blind the one-eyed one is queen.
The political opponent is the PNM, not someone from within the UNC.
This delaying tactic is only buying more time for the PNM and the UNC who are at present clueless about leading TT. Get that absolutely and abundantly clear.
Remember the Emperor’s New Clothes? A man walking stark naked, feels he has on clothes too bad and everybody laughing loudly?
The present leader should have done the right thing after the general election results. Even Patrick Manning did the right thing after his party’s defeat.
Here are some timely words of advice. If you know the PNM and you know yourself, you have nothing to fear. If you know yourself but not the PNM, every victory will be a defeat. If you know neither the PNM nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.
