Men drown in Caparo pool while drinking

POLICE are investigating how two Caparo men drowned while drinking near a swimming pool on July 31.

Initial reports indicate that around 12.20 pm Bissoondath Maharaj was at the Santa Philippa Road home of Wahid Shah, drinking with him while sitting on the edge of his nine-foot-deep pool.

Shah's wife told police she went inside briefly before discovering them floating lifeless in the deep end of the pool.

Shah's son took the men to Medical Associates in Chaguanas, where they were pronounced dead.
