Boxing Day sales draw crowds in San Fernando

Hoping to capitalise on Boxing Day sales, scores of people flocked to stores in San Fernando and environs.

At JDs Exclusive on High Street in San Fernando, shoppers gathered as early as 6 am waiting for deals and discounts. The store offered 33 per cent off items storewide as well as the branches at Princes Town and Rio Claro. The sales end on Sunday.

People were busy trying to decide which items to buy, and cashiers appeared to be focused as they did their job.

At Ketan Jewellers, scores of people were also seen checking the prices on selected items. The store had special discounts on jewellery.

At Gulf City Mall in La Romaine, the car parks were full. Many drivers waited in their cars to park, causing traffic to pile up. Many stores advertised bargains, much to the delight of shoppers.
