‘Tis the season
THE annual parang lime hosted by businessman Teddy Mohammed and his wife Deane at their Valsayn home was indeed another great evening of fun, food and entertainment.
Guests were entertained by parang band Fuego Caribeño while being fed by the renowned chef Debra Sardinha-Metivier, who prepared a sumptuous Christmas dinner. An in-house deejay took over from the band and had guests on their feet, as some women set aside their heels to get down on the dance floor. As the merriment continued and guests got peckish, Nishal’s Catering served up buss up shot, curry duck, curry goat, baigan choka, tomato choka and mother-in-law. There was also cow heel souse, and for those who wished to go down memory lane, for the taking were sugar cake, pawpaw balls and tamarind balls, while the “palancing” continued.
A number of high-profile guests attended including the newest CCJ judge Sir Denys Barrow, Ministers Rohan Sinanan, Terrence Deyalsingh, Anthony Garcia and Clarence Rambharat, former minister Hubert Volney, former AG Garvin Nicholas and attorneys Vindra Dolsingh, Martin George and Om Lalla.
