Sean Bowen shot dead

THE murder of a 25-year-old man in Arima has brought the murder toll for the year to 71.

Sean “Muffy” Bowen was shot dead near his home on Punette Avenue, Pinto Road. Police said at about 10.30 pm on Tuesday, he was on the road when an unknown man shot him several times.

He died on the spot and the killer ran away.

Newsday was unable to reach relatives yesterday at the Forensic Science Centre in St James, but police said Bowen was known to them for several minor offences.
