Members of Team PSL praised club CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Desmond Roberts for his support and organisation which helped the team's superiority on the local cycling circuit over the past week.

The club won three major cycling events in Trinidad and Tobago, with Dutchman Peter Schulting claiming both the Tobago International Cycling Classic which concluded on Saturday and the UCI Tour of Tobago which took place on Sunday.

Jamaican Marloe Rodman continued the club's dominance in Trinidad when he captured the main event at the Beacon Cycling on the Avenue on Wednesday.

After his win on Wednesday Rodman said, "First of all I have to give a big thanks to Mr Desmond Roberts, Coosal, Jet Blue, Team PSL and RBC. If it was not for Mr Desmond Roberts it would not have been possible to get all the riders here to make it possible for me to come out on top for the team."

Rodman said it was a great week for the club and thanked Roberts for his support. "We can't be more happy (about the past week) because we set a new record in Tobago and also we did it here because we took everything so it is a real good job and I want to say a big thanks to Mr Desmond Roberts. He did a good job putting this team together. He has been there for me through good and bad times so I want to give him a really big thanks for everything."

Team PSL became the first club to win both the TICC and the Tour of Tobago in back-to-back years. In 2016, Dutchman Arno Van Der Zwet won the TICC and Canadian James Picolli won the Tour of Tobago.

TT cyclist Akil Campbell, another member of Team PSL, finished sixth overall in the TICC. Campbell's best moment in the Classic came in stage three when he won the Plymouth Criterium in 51 minutes, 07.72 seconds.

Campbell said constant communication has helped PSL be successful. "We talk before and after the race so it is a lot of communication that made the success possible. Also (the support from) Mr Desmond Roberts, the CEO of PSL Cycling Club."
