Fyzabad man held with AR 15 assault rife

A 28-year-old man of Richardson Trace, Fyzabad will appear before a Siparia Magistrate on Monday, on gun charges.

The man was held by officers of the Southern Division Task Force around 10.20 pm on Saturday with an AR 15 assault rifle.

Reports indicate that PC Suruj was on mobile patrol duty with other officers in the Santa Flora district when he received information that black Hyundai Elantra vehicle was transporting something illegal.

The vehicle was stopped by the police, but the front seat passenger quickly exited.

Holding a black bag, the suspect began running away from the cops.

Officers chased him and caught him a short distance away. They searched the black bag and found the firearm.

Suruj seized the firearm and arrested and charged the man for possession of a prohibited weapon.
