DJ Ana, Ultra Simmo bring Christmas magic to Gulf City

GULF City Mall came alive with the magic of Christmas recently as DJ Ana (Ana-Leesa Ramnarine) and Ultra Simmo (Jordan Simmons) hosted the inaugural Glam Kids Jingle Jam.

A media release said, the charitable event, a festive blend of live entertainment, games, and holiday cheer, drew hundreds of children and families for an unforgettable evening of celebration.

The mall’s atrium was transformed into a vibrant Christmas wonderland as the globe-trotting duo brought their high-energy performances to their hometown.

From toddlers to teens and even grandparents, the crowd was swept up in the spirit of the season as Ana and Simmo led interactive games, singalongs, and dance sessions.

“This event was a dream come true,” said DJ Ana. “Seeing so many families come together, especially during the holidays, was incredibly fulfilling. Starting this project in south Trinidad, where both Simmo and I are from, made it even more special.”

Thanks to generous sponsors including Gulf City Mall, Burger King, Bubble Cantina, and The Churros Factory, over $20,000 in prizes and cash vouchers were distributed, leaving smiles on every child’s face and gratitude in the hearts of parents, the release said.

“This is what Christmas is all about – spreading joy and creating memories,” shared Ultra Simmo. “Watching kids laugh, play, and bond with their families was the highlight of the night. It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do.”

The evening also featured a special meet-and-greet with Santa Claus, where children eagerly shared their Christmas wishes. Parents praised the initiative, calling it a much-needed celebration of family and community, the release said.

“It was magical to see generations – from kids to grandparents – come together,” DJ Ana added. “This wasn’t just about entertainment; it was about building connections and celebrating the essence of family.”

DJ Ana and Ultra Simmo are already looking to the future, with plans to grow the Glam Kids Jingle Jam in 2025.
