Boy, 14, among 7 suspects held in Southern Division
SOUTHERN Division police arrested seven people, including a 14-year-old suspect, for various offences on October 20.
The minor from Paradise Heights in Morvant was held with cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. The police do not give the location or circumstances of the minor's arrest. A 32-year-old from Laventille Road in San Juan was also held for having cocaine.
Officers from the CID Operations and Canine Unit held them in an anti-crime exercise between 3 am and 8 am.
Snr Supt Kirk, ASP Phillip and Insp Wilkinson co-ordinated the exercise, which Cpl Nanan led. Two people, 20 and 23, from Alladin Drive and Masseyland, both in Gasparillo, were arrested for breaching immigration laws.
The police also arrested a 31-year-old from Harmony Hall in Gasparillo for having a quantity of marijuana, a 29-year-old from Broomage Road, Princes Town, for larceny, and a 25-year-old from Petite Café in Princes Town, for wounding.
Investigations are ongoing.
